"Bamboo is allergy-free, environmentally friendly, repels termites and is reputed to be superior in quality and more durable than most hardwood timber floors," Mr Coulson said. "Bamboo flooring is becoming increasingly popular because it doesn't react to climatic changes by expanding, contracting, warping, cupping or discolouration, as do some timbers. "The flooring is also ideal for refurbishment because it arrives as a finished product already coated, so there is no unnecessary mess and dangerous fumes normally associated with on-site sanding and polishing, and it can be laid over existing flat floor tiles." Style Plantation has devoted substantial resources to developing strategic relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, Mr Coulson said. "Particular emphasis has been on ensuring consistent quality and supply of the product suite. "The current product suite includes bamboo flooring, bamboo panels for ceilings etc, bamboo fencing, bamboo woven sheeting and veneers for walls and ceilings, bamboo and natural fibre blinds, bamboo furniture boards for stairs, benchtops and furnishings and Paulownia timber."
